Bills LB Von Miller addresses facing Broncos for first time

Von Miller will face the Denver Broncos for the first time in his career in Week 10 on "Monday Night Football." The Buffalo Bills linebacker insists it isn't a revenge game.

"Definitely don't have any bad blood with anybody [in that organization]," Miller said in a Wednesday news conference. "One thing that will never change is my love for Broncos country."

Miller starred for Denver for 10 seasons and became one of the best players in franchise history. He won Super Bowl 50 MVP and earned eight Pro Bowl nods. In 2021, the Broncos dealt him to the Los Angeles Rams, where he captured his second ring.

Now, the 34-year-old is trying to help Buffalo obtain its first Lombardi trophy. However, the Bills (5-4) are at a tipping point after losing three of their last five games. The New York Times simulator noted their playoff chances dropped to 47 percent after a Week 9 defeat against the Cincinnati Bengals.

"It's not time to issue the alarm, but it's close," Miller said of the team's struggles.

Some of the Bills' problems fall on a turnover-prone offense. The unit has logged 14 giveaways, tied for the seventh most in the league. Yet, their defense has remained stingy, allowing 17.8 points per game, fifth in the league.

Meanwhile, Denver (3-5) has won back-to-back games, but it still has some major problems on offense, specifically its inability to protect QB Russell Wilson. Per Pro Football Reference, the Broncos have allowed the eighth-most sacks in the NFL (26) and the sixth-highest pressure rate (25.3 percent).

The Bills' fearsome pass-rush has recorded 29 sacks, the fifth-most in the NFL. So expect them to exploit the shaky Denver O-line. Miller, who has yet to register a sack this season, might get going against his former team.
